Membership.io is a fast-growing content management software that revolutionizes the way content creators and businesses deliver experiences. As an all-in-one platform, we enable users to manage, monetize, and amplify their content, setting new standards in the industry.


The Role
This person lives inside your content vault — TBs of footage across drives, cloud storage, event recordings, podcast episodes, presentations, and mastermind sessions — and turns buried gold into high-performing short-form content. They don't just edit what's handed to them. They hunt for the moments, own the output, and iterate based on performance.

Responsibilities
Content Mining — Constantly scrubbing existing footage (keynotes, workshops, conferences, podcasts, behind-the-scenes) for scroll-stopping moments. They have a nose for the emotional story, the punchy one-liner, the crowd reaction. They're also watching trends and matching them to your existing library.
Editing & Production — They cut Reels, TikToks, and Shorts that feel native to each platform. Skilled in motion graphics, kinetic text, transitions, sound design, and pacing. They can pull three standalone 30-second pieces from a 60-minute keynote.
AI-Assisted Workflows — Comfortable using AI tools to move faster: transcript search, auto-captions, AI B-roll generation, voice isolation, auto-reframing. They actively seek out new tools.
Hook Testing & Publishing — Every piece gets at least 3 opening hook variations. They publish directly, understand platform-specific best practices, and manage posting cadence.
Performance Ownership — They track retention curves, completion rates, shares, saves. They build a personal feedback loop where every batch informs the next. They come with insights, not just edits.

Skills
Required: Premiere Pro/Final Cut/DaVinci Resolve, After Effects/Motion/DaVinci Fusion, CapCut, strong grasp of short-form retention mechanics
Preferred: AI gen tools (Runway, Descript, Opus Clip, etc.), sound design, color correction, content analytics

Bonus: Portfolio of viral or high-retention short-form work

What Success Looks Like
They're posting daily, learning fast, and compounding. Tight feedback loops — publish, check performance, adjust, republish. They batch content aggressively so they're never scrambling, but they edit and test with agility. Momentum builds because they're getting enough reps to develop real pattern recognition for what works. Volume is the engine, iteration is the fuel.


Conditions of Employment


To maintain SOC2 compliance, Employment is contingent on passing a background check. We conduct background checks through Certn (Softcheck).

  • Softcheck searches thousands of international data sources to identify potentially illegal behaviour, criminal activity, fraud incidents, regulatory violations, and negative media information. This service also includes searches of country sanction lists, exposed persons lists, sex offender registries, terrorist registries, and most wanted lists from around the globe.

Qualifications


  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in video editing, social media etc.

Additional Requirements


  • Weekend and Evening Availability: While main working hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, some weekend and evening availability may be required.
  • On-Site Work on a semi-regular basis: While we offer a hybrid work environment, this role requires regular on-site presence to support our collaborative efforts.
